Life’s Too Short : BBC’s New upcoming Sitcom


Life’s Too Short is a naturalist observational humor for BBC Two, presently in development. Life’s Too Short series contains eight episodes. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have written and created Life’s Too Short series. Warwick Davis, one of Britain’s distinguished dwarf actors, plays the lead role in this series. An appearance will be also made by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant in this sitcom series.

Life’s Too Short is focused on day-to-day frustrations of Warwick Davis, however is still managing to discover the hopefulness and affection in a small world, where big things occur. This new sitcom will feature many celebrity character parts like “Extras”. Steve Carell, former star of American Office, Sting, and Johnny Depp are set to appear in this series.

In this series, Davis makes an effort to hustle and conspire his way into the spotlight when he fell on hard times. The role of Davis’ wife Sue will be played by Jo Enright whereas Rosamund Hanson will be seen as Davis’ assistant Cheryl. “Life’s Too Short” will be premiered on BBC Two in late 2011, but it will not telecast in the U.S. on HBO until 2012.

As per Ricky Gervais, trilogy of TV sitcoms is to deal with everyday problems, social faux, and human foibles but with a dwarf. Warwick Davis worked together with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant to do his dream acting job. He was very happy when BBC, producer of finest television in the world, allowed his first series to telecast on BBC Two.
