Project Runway is an American reality television series which is hosted by model Heidi Klum. It is telecasted on Lifetime Television. This show is based on fashion design; the contestants contend with each other to create the best clothes and are usually restricted in time, materials, and theme. Each week, designs are judged and one or more designers are eliminated.
“Project Runway” Season 8 will start with 17 talented designers. The main judges of this show are Michael Kors and Nina Garcia and top-name guest designer and celebrity judges, including actress Selma Blair for the premiere episode. Mentor Tim Gunn will give company to model Heidi Klum to host the show. As the designers attempt to make the cut to show at New York Fashion Week, “Project Runway 8″ will feature more couture creations and fashion flubs at Lincoln Center.

“Project Runway” Season 8 winner will get $100,000 from L’Oreal Paris to start his/her own line, a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine, a $50,000 technology suite by HP and Intel to create his/her own vision and run business and the opportunity to design and sell an exclusive collection on Piperlime.com. The model paired with the winner of “Project Runway 8″ will also appear in the designer’s editorial feature in Marie Claire and receive $25,000 from L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional.
The “Project Runway” Season 8 designers are AJ Thouvenot, Andy South, April Johnston, Casanova, Christopher Collins, Gretchen Jones, Ivy Higa, Jason Troisi, Kristin Haskins Simms, McKell Maddox, Michael Costello, Michael Drummond, Mondo Guerra, Nicholas D’Aurizio, Peach Carr, Sarah Trost, and Valerie Mayen. “Project Runway” received two Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Reality-Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for Heidi Klum in the year 2010.
With an opportunity to launch their careers in fashion, budding designers are provided by supermodel and fashion maven Heidi Klum through the hit series “Project Runway”, under the watchful eye of mentor and Liz Claiborne Chief Creative Officer Tim Gunn. “Project Runway” is 2010′s #1 rated and most watched competitive reality program on ad-supported cable between Women 18-49, Women 25-54, Women 18+, Adults 18-49, Adults 18+ and Households.
