Jillian Michaels teaches health tricks to the families on her show ‘Losing It With Jillian’ which premieres on June 1 at 10 p.m. on NBC. In the show ‘On Losing It with Jillian’, Jillian Michaels who is the popular Biggest Loser trainer travel in with different families across America to help them develop healthy habits. NBC has partnered with Jillian Michaels (“the Biggest Loser”) who is popular health and wellness expert and Giancarlo Chersich (Empowered Media) along with producers of “The Biggest Loser” Mark Koops and Howard T. Owens of Reveille and Ellen Rakieten who is former “Oprah” executive producer for a riveting new life-changing choice series “Losing It With Jillian.”
Losing weight is very difficult task, but with the support of your family it can be easier. If you and your family want to lose weight together with the help of fitness trainer Jillian Michaels, you can apply for the new reality show ‘Losing It with Jillian Michaels’. Jillian says the show will permit us to see more facets of who she is and learn more about the methodology of the Jillian Michaels approach, things she says we miss on Biggest Loser. She says, “I’m passionate about showing more of what we do”. Jillian says with “Losing It” there are no more excuses.
In this show, Jillian will spend 5 to 7 days with a family and follow them to work, school and the rest of their day-to-day lives. After that, she calculates their lifestyles and offers tools and information to enact real change. She also checks whether the families will follow schedule or not. She will also take care that the changes she suggests fit in with the families situations. She will show them how to get the workouts done at home, if they can’t afford a fitness center.
Michaels says “When your health is out of balance everything else suffers — finances, relationships, work and family dynamics”, “I’m moving in with families across the country, getting down and dirty and rooting out bad habits in every corner of their lives that are preventing them from health and happiness.” Curtis Stone, Celebrity chef will teach families about nutrition and give tips on cooking with healthy ingredients. Ellen Rakieten, executive producer says, “I love the idea of Jillian crisscrossing America to actually move in with unhealthy families in desperate need of her tough love wake-up call.” “It’s the knock on your door that could save your life.”

List of the Michaels’ favorite healthy foods -“staples in my house” is given which she will introduce to the families on the show. She said, “I keep all the stuff that they love in the house — I’m just changing the product.
- Instead of sodas: Crystal Light Pure Fitness and Vitaminwater Zero, sweetened with stevia and “no artificial anything,” she said.
- Instead of fatty, salty syrupy sauces: Mustards, vinegars and seasonings. She does make one exception for salad dressing — Galeos dressing — “It tastes amazing,” she said. (I concur.)
- Instead of greasy chips: Popchips or Guiltless Gourmet corn chips. Also try air-popped popcorn doused with Tabasco sauce.
- Instead of processed, sugary candies and cookies: Newman’s Own products, including their alphabet cookies, peanut butter cups and organic dark chocolate.

OPTION 1 (Application and Video):
You have to submit complete application form which will include your photo and your family photo, a photocopy of your driver’s license or government issued photo ID. Download the application, if you are above 18 years old. You can submit your video, if you cannot attend an open call. You can get information about Video by downloading the Video Submission Instructions.
NOTE: You only need to make a video profile in connection with your application if you can’t make it to one of the open casting calls.
OPTION 2 (Application and Open Casting Call):
You have to submit complete application form which will include your photo and your family photo, a photocopy of your driver’s license or government issued photo ID. They encourage every family member to attend one of their open casting calls. Lists of dates, times, and locations for the open casting calls are given.

- You and your family have to bring the following items with you to the open casting call to be considered.
- Completed and signed application (which includes a copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo ID).
- Anyone under the age of 18 must download and fill out the Minor’s Application
