Good Luck Charlie Season 2 Coming soon : Spoilers
“Good Luck Charlie” is an American television sitcom going to air on Disney Channel in the United States. The series was created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen, who wanted to create a program that would appeal to entire families, as opposed to children only. It literally gets its desire for Disney Channel has renewed the show for another season. On Sunday, July 11 it was also announced that that the series starring Bridgit Mendler will get a TV movie treatment much like the other Disney shows such as “Wizards of Waverly Place”.
“Charlie” has become the top-rated sequence on TV amid kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. The sequence follows two youngsters Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) and P.J. Holliday (Jason Dolley) and their 10-year-old brother, Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry), whose parents enlist their help when they revisit to work after the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte, aka Charlie. Teddy creates a video diary for Charlie in every episode. Each video will register Teddy’s daily adventures and mishaps for Charlie to use as recommendation when her elder sister is no longer living at home.
Watching “Good Luck Charlie” is like stepping back to the “Wonder Years” era in which humor was unbiased with love and understanding and the stories could appeal to generations. We are finding the balance between what kids think is funny and adults think is funny. The second season will likely debut next year but the TV movie’s date is unknown. And in the meantime the network is developing an original movie based on the show written by Geoff Rodkey and starring the show’s cast.
“Hannah Montana” one of the highest performing series will be soon loosen by Disney Channel. But the channel is sure with the presence of Mendler in place of Miley Cyrus who is parting her teen image behind. Senior Vice President of original programming at Disney Channel, Adam Bonnett said about Mendler, “We just fell in love with her. She has all the attributes of a Disney star.”
