Melissa & Joey is an ABC Family network television series. Melissa and Joey TV Show premiered on 17th August 2010 with back-to-back original episodes at 8pm and 8:30pm ET/PT. Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence are the stars of this show. After the 2009 original film My Fake Fiance, this series marks the second time Hart and Lawrence co-starred together in an ABC Family production. This show is created and written by David Kendall and Bob Young. Its executive producer is Paula Hart.

Melissa Joan Hart plays the role of Hart portraying Mel, the grown-up former wild child of a political family, who is now a local politician herself. Mel must take responsibility for her teenaged niece, Lennox, and pre-adolescent nephew, Ryder when her sister ends up in prison and her brother-in-law flees after a scandal hits. Mel realizes that kids are big responsibility so she appoints Joe (Lawrence), who becomes the family’s “manny.”
