Kate Austen and Jack Shephard are the two characters of the American drama/adventure television series Lost which was created by Damon Lindelof and J. J. Abrams. Somewhere in the South Pacific after commercial passenger jet crashes, the sequence follows the lives of plane crash survivors on an inexplicable tropical island. There are 71 humans and 1 dog spread across the three sections of the plane crash, out of the 324 people on board Oceanic Flight 815 in 2004. After Desperate Housewives, Lost has a largest cast at present in an American prime time television show.

The fictional character Katherine Anne “Kate” Austen’s role is played by Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly in Lost TV show. Kate Austen is a lead character in this series. Kate was born in Iowa; she killed her father at the age of maturity. U.S. Marshall follows Kate for three years and she was in his custody when she crashed on the Island. On the Island, Kate made a strong relationship with Jack and Sawyer and becomes an integral member of the survivors’ new society. Before the whole group finds the cockpit, jack died, Kate was to emerge as the leader for the survivors and she motivating them to build up protection to stay and start considering life as permanent residents of the island for them.

While hiding her concerned past from the rest of the survivors, she takes part in many missions like in Resourceful, quick-witted and mysteriously reclusive. In past she was criminal, but finally she became an important member of the survivors’ group and was given a clean slate. Kate was a faintly older woman when she separated from her husband, who used to go to the bathroom in the tail-section of the plane. Kate helped Claire travel to the Staff with Rousseau and was detained by the others, together with Jack and Sawyer, as part of Michael’s treachery.
Kate and five other survivors supervised to escape the Island by using a helicopter after Jack called the freighter, when Ben stirred the Island, though they were forced to leave everyone else behind. Until Jack’s misery, addiction, and envy over a favor she was doing for Sawyer, Kate and Jack came closer and were temporarily engaged. With Jack’s help Kate returned to the island to find Claire and bring her home for Aaron, she boarded Ajira Flight 316. Kate worked for the DHARMA Initiative as a mechanic, Stranded in 1977 with her friends, and was liable for saving a young Benjamin Linus’s life. She began searching for Claire alone in 2007.
Matthew Fox plays the character of Dr. Jack Shephard which is also a fictional character on the ABC television series Lost. Jack Shephard was born between 1969 and 1970. Jack is a Spinal surgeon at St. Sebastian Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, USA. After funeral ceremony of his father to the United States, he was in the aboard Oceanic Flight 815. Jack plays main character in this series as a leader of the crash survivors. Jack Shephard is the opposite of John Locke (Terry O’Quinn) and both of them love Kate Austen (Evangeline Lilly) and Juliet Burke (Elizabeth Mitchell). Claire Littleton (Emilie de Ravin) is a brother of Jack Shephard.

In the Oceanic Flight 815, Jack had control each and every issues and trouble which are dealing with situations. During a crisis and lead several A-Missions, these dealings and issues helps him a lot. Jack was a leader of the survivors and made a good relationship with everyone especially Juliet and Kate. Jack learned of his family relation to Claire and Aaron since the rescue which laid his father to rest and became engaged to Kate. Certain measures like a visit from Jeremy Bentham and visions of his father caused his resolve to collapse. Jack became addict to pills and alcohol after crushing this plane in dreams.
Ben said that all of them had to go back including the late Bentham, who was actually John Locke. After being thrown during time and space, Jack later returned to the island when Ajira Flight 316 flew over the Island. For the DHARMA Initiative, Jack worked as a workman where he tried to change the past by exploding a hydrogen bomb. At present, his fate is unidentified.
