Law and Order Season 21 is going to telecast in the year 2010-2011. An American police procedural and legal drama television series, Law & Order is telecasted on NBC since 13 September 1990. 20th Season of Law and Order was completed on 24 May 2010. “Law and Order” won the 1997 Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. Law & Order was one of the longest-running crime dramas on American prime time television at the time of its cancellation. After The Simpsons, Law & Order is the second longest-running scripted series with ongoing characters.
NBC’s President of Primetime Entertainment, Angela Bromstad, has vowed to renew Law and Order Season for next year though the venerable crime drama is down in the ratings once again. Dick Wolf created Law & Order in September 1990. The series is about NYPD crime investigations. The cast has changed many times over the years while the premise has remained the same. Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson, S. Epatha Merkerson, Linus Roache, Alana de la Garza, and Sam Waterston are the current performers.
Until season four, Law and Order Season did not break into the top 30 in the ratings. Law & Order ranked number seven for the year and hit its peak in season 12. Law and Order Season 17 got 73rd rank and then Law and Order Season 20 got 62nd rank that shows the decline ranking of the season. The show of this season is opened to a dismal 1.2 rating but the numbers have enhanced slight ultimately.
It seems like Law & Order will surpass Gunsmoke’s record while its ratings have not been very good, even for a Friday night series. Bromstad indicated that she planned to renew Wolf’s show for a historic 21st season in an interview with Business Week. She said, “I’m a Law & Order junkie… I wouldn’t want to be responsible for not having Law & Order break the record.”
With its successful spin-offs “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “Law and Order” has also become one of the entertainment’s pre-eminent brands. “Law and Order” is completely filmed on the locations of New York. It is a realistic program about crime and justice from a dual perspective. Detective Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and his partner, Detective Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson), investigate offenses and catch suspects under the supervision of their precinct lieutenant, Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson) in the first half-hour of “Law and Order”.
To prosecute the accused under the guidance of the no-nonsense District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston), the center moves to the criminal courts as Chief Assistant District Attorney Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) and the Executive Assistant District Attorney Connie Rubirosa (Alana De La Garza) work in a complicated justice system in the second half-hour of “Law and Order”.
Most cases of “Law and Order” are multi-faceted but some may be simple. The “Law and Order” investigations are challenging, prosecutions are complex, and decisions about legal procedures and plea-bargaining are vexing. Wolf Films production and Universal Media Studios produce “Law & Order”. Executive producers are Rene Balcer, Fred Berner and Peter Jankowski.
