Hawaii Five-0 is the hit American procedural crime drama series which is back as a re-imagining of the original 1968–1980. Hawaii Five-0 is started on Monday, September 20, 2010, airing in the Eastern Time Zone at 10:00 PM (9:00 PM in the Central Time Zone). This new version of the series is also debuted on CBS, the same network that premiered the original version. On the basis of 1968 series of the same name produced by Leonard Freeman, the series is developed for television by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Peter M. Lenkov.
Hawaii Five-0 is a police procedural series, gracing little screens in a revived form. In place of the capital letter O, the title of the series contains a zero. It follows an elite unit/task force set up to fight crime in the state of Hawaii. Hawaii Five-0 pilot is directed by Len Wiseman and written in part by Peter M. Lenkov. It seems like the remaking of the show Hawaii Five-O does its best to honour the classic original.

The similarities between the original show and the newer version are the title of the show, the theme, the names of the lead characters, and the location of the show; both are filmed on the island of Hawaii. The series stars Alex O’Laughlin as Steve McGarrett violence, who is native of Hawaii, hailing from Oahu. As he is arriving to bury his father, his return to his home is bittersweet who was also a cop and was murdered in the line of duty. And, McGarrett makes a promise to find the murderers of his father and carry them to justice.
The character of Danny Willliams is played by Scott Caan who moves to Hawaii for some inexplicable reason. In the pilot, Scott Caan has a very special relationship with his daughter and she is the reason for moving of him to the island. The pair doesn’t quite trust each other at first to help build a dynamic. However, the bad guys start flying at them and so they are compelled into a tight partnership to see them through their trials and tribulations.
In general, this CBS new TV show was a attractive decent first step as it seems to have all the good elements for it to work. The next few weeks will tell whether it will become anywhere near as popular as the show it is replacing “CSI: Miami”.

Hawaii Five-O The Trailer.rv video from Youtube:

Bravo–scripts outstanding. Cast outstanding. Development of Danny(Dano)Williams’ character brilliant. Scott Caan owns this part. Glad to see Grace Park, a favorite of mine on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, and the Kim character, also very good. The McGarrett character is sort of put in the shade, action figure almost, though he is meant to be the main character, but too buttoned-up emotionally as set up as a contrast to his partner. Will say he has the longest eyelashes, nice enough looking guy, but it’s hard to focus on McGarrett when Dano is revealing constant new facets of his character, making him the most interesting of the two. Jack Lord in reruns was a mysteriously magnetic lead in the old Five O, without really revealing a darn thing about himself; and the first Dano, who recently died, didn’t have much to do then. I like this Five O much more because we get lots of character–I vote for characters who are human. Five O is definitely going in the right direction. Not to be missed.
Oh, meant to say… When is this fad for stubble going to be shaved away? Must be harder to keep those whiskers at the fashionable length than it would be to shave. Really. Probably itches, too. We get that they’re men without the actors having to look scruffy.
