NBC’s Tv Show “Harry’s Law” Cast & Premiere Date


NBC is going to release many new series for their viewers in 2011 and Harry’s law is one of them. The upcoming American legal comedy drama series, “Harry’s Law” will be premiered on 17 January, 2011 at 10 pm. Harry’s law is creative idea of the Emmy Award-winning creator David E. Kelley which brought his unique storytelling to this series. It is directed by the Bill D’Elia.

The story of the series is about fate (Luck), that follows Harry’s Law main character Harriet Korn which is played by Emmy Award-winning Kathy Bates, curmudgeonly ex-patent lawyer and her group of contacts as they team up to form an exclusive law practice in a rundown shoe store in Cincinnati. Brittany Snow as Harriet’s assistant, Jenna Backstrom, and Beatrice Rosen (“Dark Knight”) as Eve, a high school French teacher also play their unique role in this series.

In this series, Harriet Korn is searching new job because recently she has been fired from her cushy job. After then she collides with Malcolm Davies (Aml Ameen, a kind-hearted college student, who is trying to figure out life). When he discovers that Harriet is a lawyer, he requests her to help in his pending criminal case. It is the great chance for Harriet to fresh start. Malcolm also introduced Harriet to Matthew, who is also removed from his high school teacher job. Malcolm is a former student of Matthew. Then all three decides to work together on “Harry’s Law,” case. Now the most improbable people are beginning their law practice in an abandoned shoe store. Adam branch is also part of the series. He is legal hotshots inspired by Harry’s practical understanding of the law and takes the decision to leave from his high-profile corporate law firm to work with Harry’s law.

Kathy Bates as Harriet Korn

Kathy Bates plays the lead role as Harriet “Harry” Korn in “Harry’s law”. She will definitely attract viewers by her role as a lawyer. In this series she finds job to fresh start. After played number of small role in film and television, she won Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her performance in ‘Misery’ (1990). She got nominations for Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA in 1999. She also won Critics Choice Award and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for her performance in Mike Nichols’ “Primary Colors.”

Aml Ameen as Malcolm Davies

Aml Ameen plays the role of Malcolm Davies, young men who need help of Harry” Korn to start his pending criminal case. Aml Ameen started his acting career in very small age. He got his first TV appearance in the British children’s series “123 Hullabuloo”. After the graduation he worked as Trife in the cult classic British indie film, “Kidulthood”.  For his extremely much-admired performance, he got the nomination for Best Newcomer at the 2006 Screen Nation Awards. In 2007 he finally won the Screen Nation Awards for best actor on BAFTA Award-winning hit series “The Bill.”

Nate Corddry as Adam Branch

Nate Corddry plays the role of Adam Branch, who is inspired from Harry’s practical understanding about law and decides to work with her and for this he also leaves from his high-profile corporate law firm. Corddry started his career with Madeleine Smithberg and Lizz Winstead series, “The Daily Show with John Stewart”. In future, Corddry can be seen as lead role in Warner Bros’ upcoming feature “Yogi Bear”. In the next animated “Tron” series, he will serve as a voice cast. Corddry will also play a lead role opposite Julianne Moore in the Måns Mårlind’s upcoming movie ‘Shelter’.

Brittany Snow as Jenna Backstrom—Harriet’s assistant

Brittany Snow plays the role of Jenna Backstrom, the shoe-savant and assistant to Harry. In the recent year, she is famous as one of the brightest and most engaging acting talents to appear. Recently she wrapped production together with Abigail Breslin in “Janie Jones” and Tony Kaye film “Black Water Transit.” She is best known for her roles as, Daisy Lemay in Guiding Light, Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray and Meg Pryor in American Dreams.
