For a season 6, which is expected to be debuted this fall, the eye has just renewed the half-hour comedy series starring Neil Patrick Harris. This year, Harris has picked up a Golden Globe nomination even though he lost it to John Lithgow of “Dexter”. For the network beside “Two and a Half Men” and “The Big Bang Theory“, How I Met Your Mother has been a solid Monday night performer.

Moreover, for three further years Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are already in contract with 20th Century Fox TV. To form a new but not yet titled show about a young couple and their friends in Pittsburgh, the restitution of “HIMYM” means that they have to work twice their time before.

In the interim, “Two and a Half Men” and “The Big Bang Theory” are in the midst of a multi-year pickup as per THR. CBS has also renewed, “The Amazing Race” for 1 more season and “Survivor” for 2 more seasons.

“How I Met Your Mother” short description

The main character of HIMYM, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor, with narration by Bob Saget) gathers his daughter and son to tell them the tale of how he met their mother, which explains the title. In 2005, the story had started with Ted (Josh Radnor) as a single, 27-year-old architect living with his two best friends from Wesleyan University, Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), a lawyer, and Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher, who have been dating for about nine years when Marshall proposes. It was only due to their engagement that caused Ted to think about marriage and finding his life partner and hence, Ted began his seek for his perfect mate.

How I Met Your Mother’s other foremost characters are Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), and Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan).
