The season 3 of Chuck was premiered on NBC on 10th January, 2010 with a two hour premiere at 9/8c. Season 3 of series achieved highest rating due to 2-part premiere. Due to popularity of the show, on 14th May, 2010, the formal announcement for renewing the fourth season of show was released by President of Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios Angela Bromstad. Originally, ‘Chuck’ was a bubble series which nearly did not create it in the second to third season transition. But, the number in season 3 improved with 2.4 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall. For spreading of the show, dedicated fans also helped by doing a flash mob action earlier this month.

Josh Schwartz, creator of the show tweeted immediately after the announcement, ‘Just got the official call: thank you Chuck fans for getting us a 4th season, thrilled to keep working with amazing cast & crew.’ For the fourth season of chuck, producer Ali Adler will not be returning because she has accepted a position on ABC’s new drama ‘No Ordinary Family’.

Chuck unwittingly downloads an entire of sensitive data into his brain when he opens an e-mail subliminally encoded with government secrets in the ‘Chuck’ TV show. Chuck must now confront assassins and international terrorists in place of fighting computer viruses. Major John Casey (Adam Baldwin, ‘My Bodyguard’) of the National Security Agency resumes the responsibility of protecting Chuck due to the government’s most precious secrets in Chuck’s head.

The CIA’s top agent (and Chuck’s dream girl), Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski, ‘Gone’) is the casey’s partner on NBC’s ‘Chuck’ TV show. Also, other stars who will be seen on the “Chuck season 4″ include Joshua Gomez (‘Without a Trace’) as Morgan Grimes—Chuck’s best buddy, Sarah Lancaster (‘What About Brian?’) as Chuck’s ever-supportive sister, Ellie, and Ryan McPartlin (‘Living With Fran’) as ‘Captain Awesome,’ Ellie’s fiance. Chuck’s Buy More team consists of Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence, ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’) and the Nerd Herd, which includes Lester (Vik Sahay, ‘Time Bomb’), Jeff (Scott Krinsky, ‘The O.C.’) and Anna (Julia Ling, NBC’s ‘ER’).

New shows such as ‘The Cape’, ‘Outlaw’, ‘Harry’s Law’ and ‘Friends with Benefits’ have also been picked up by NBC. The season 4 of the chuck show will have total 13 episodes. Bromstad said, “The addition of these four inventive series to our new scripted lineup demonstrates a wide spectrum of creative stories. We are featuring popular, top-flight stars along with a strong pedigree of successful writer-producers. Likewise, ‘Chuck’ has proven its enduring appeal and we love the new creative direction that Josh and Chris [Fedak] have taken the show.”

Well, currently Chuck is bearing in a new direction. Some of the previews for this season give little idea about Chuck Bartowski. Now he knows how to fight in different styles in addition to this. He also uses various types of weapons to protect himself and his team from “bad guys”. Now Chuck works for the government and is helped by two trainers named Sarah Walker and John Casey. With his best friend Zachary Levi as Chuck works as computer expert at the Nerd Herd. He was already clever but now he has been push into a world where he knows nothing. Yvonne Strahovski plays Sarah, the perfect girlfriend, save the fact that she is also a spy. Yvonne is an Australian actress and always makes the show a lot of fun to watch.
